| Prerequisite:
Beginning Tarot or equivalent knowledge of basic card meanings.
This ongoing
class has evolved into a dynamic learning and sharing environment for intermediate/advanced
Tarot students. Though there are many resources for studying the Tarot, most students
have trouble finding the right context to practice what they learn. This class
combines learning with practice. During the first hour, we work on real-life reading
examples that students bring to class. Some topics we cover are in-depth card
meanings, new spreads, responsible counseling skills, timing etc. The second hour
is devoted to doing Tarot readings. Lisa teaches with the Rider Waite Tarot Deck.
No Pre-registration necessary |
BEGINNING TAROT
Though there
are many Tarot books, the most effective way to learn Tarot is to study with an
experienced teacher. Lisa Dale Miller has been teaching Tarot for many years.
This class combines learning with practice, and is specifically designed for beginning
students. By the end of the 5 classes you will have studied the meanings of the
78 Tarot cards, learned some basic spreads, and worked on responsible counseling
skills for beginners. Since most students have trouble finding the right context
to practice what they learn, we will spend class time doing actual readings. Each
student will need to have his or her own Tarot deck (about $16.00) for this class.
Lisa teaches with the Rider Waite Tarot Deck. Bring a notebook and either a Rider
Waite Deck or Universal Waite Deck. Students must be 17 or older to join this
class. Pre-registration is necessary!

This
is a serious class on Natal Astrology. An astrological birth chart is a roadmap
of the psyche. It provides insight into a person's strengths, weaknesses, and
patterns of behavior. It can reveal one's spiritual nature and life direction.
Unfortunately, the sheer breadth of information students must learn to fully understand
the language and principles of astrology keeps many from learning this important
discipline. Lisa Dale Miller has been teaching astrology for many years and has
created a systematic way for adults to learn the basic building blocks of a natal
chart. We will begin with the history of astrology and move on to the astrological
meanings of the planets, houses, signs, and aspects. Lisa will provide each student
with a printout of their chart to use in class. Students must be 17 or older to
join these classes. Please pre-register!
| Prerequisite:
Beginning Astrology or basic knowledge of houses/planets/signs/aspects.
This class
is for intermediate students. We will focus on developing synthesis skills and
learning to do chart interpretation from a depth psychological and soul evolutionary
perspective. Topics of concentration will be interpreting planetary aspects, delineation
of childhood environment and development of the personality. Counseling skills
will be covered as well. Students can bring along charts for us to work with.
